This coin was minted in the United States since 1849 and its value was 20 dollars. There are two different designes of this coin "LIBERTY HEAD" which was minted since 1907 and "SAINT GAUDENS" a coin which got its name after a designer who designed it that way Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
Golden coin "LIBERTY HEAD" on the front side has a figure of a girl who represents freedom with a tiara on which it is printed "LIBERTY". Around her head 13 stars are printed in, and at the bottom there is the year of publication.
On the back side of the coin there is an eagle holding arrows in its claw, and on the fingers he has an American coat of arms. Above the eagle there is an inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". Between the head of an eagle and text the 13 stars are engraved, where it states "IN GOD WE TRUST".
Left and right there is inscription "E PLURBIS UNUM", and at the bottom the nominal value of ducat is written. On earlier coins the nominal value written is shortened "TWENTY D", while on the later editions it writes "TWENTY DOLL"
The coin is made of 90 percent gold and 10 percent copper. In diameter it has 34 mm, and its weight is 33, 43 grams.
