Following the example of the Austrian coins, Kingdom of Yugoslavia in the early 30-ies of the last century, issued a large series of gold coins with the image of King Alexander.
Ducats were identical to the Austrian, they were 3,49 grams havy, they were in diameter 20mm and thickness of 0,7 mm.
It is interesting that the ducats of Kingdom of Yugoslavia did not have a stamp or character which would confirm its credibility. There were three tags, which were inscribed in the bottom right corner of every coin. They were printed in form of: wheat ear, corn cob or sword. Inscribed markings can only be seen clearly under a magnifying glass. All ducats of this edition had a fineness of 986.
